concept of a health tech hub
concept year: 2025
The symbiosis between contemporary architecture and the historic monument transforms the Health Tech Hub into a space dedicated to national and international interdisciplinary collaboration, knowledge exchange, and cooperation—a place where historical heritage and medical technology converge to foster innovation.
The project combines the restored historic structure—featuring massive stone walls and classically proportioned windows—with a contemporary extension of glass and exposed concrete, defined by a rigorous structural rhythm. This neo-modernist architectural composition serves as a bridge between memory and innovation: the past is respected, integrated, and reinterpreted through the lens of a contemporary architectural language.
From a culturological perspective, this approach expresses the continuity of cultural identity and the renewal of the collective meaning of the site.
Inside, a light-filled gallery becomes the social heart of the scheme. Beneath a glazed roof, the historic façade forms a tactile backdrop to timber surfaces, sculptural seating and vivid violet accents. Trees soften the architectural rhythm, while shifting daylight animates the space throughout the day.
