concept of a family house
concept year: 2021
Defined by crisp geometry and a tactile material palette, this 330 sqm house balances sculptural presence with an intimate connection to its garden. Offset volumes frame terraces and sheltered outdoor spaces, while shifts in level anchor the building to the terrain. Vertically profiled cladding in pale tones and warm timber gives the façades depth and rhythm, catching the changing light. Composed and discreet towards the street, the house opens to the garden through generous curtain glass wall.
Inside, changes in floor level and a connecting staircase create a measured sequence of spaces. The kitchen and dining area look directly onto the garden, bringing it into everyday life. Restrained furnishings, natural tones and carefully framed views brings to the interiors a quiet atmosphere, shaped by daylight, proportion and the landscape beyond.
